[Ladies and gentlemen...Clint Barton! Is...still in the shooting range but that's because he is maybe still feeling slightly insecure some pretty intense bad news bears feels. However. There's nothing to be done about them, so he's setting about cheering himself up by doing the next best thing he can do. Showing off.]
I met some of you in a way that maybe I shouldn't have. I'd like to issue an apology about that.
It's...a complicated issue and one I'm not going to go into so I figured, apologize and give something back. What better way to give back then with a little entertainment?
[By way of response, Clint holds up an arrow. Attached to the arrow is a funnel and attached to that...is a small basket ball. A basket ball. He has found a basket ball hoop and attached it to one end of the range.]
I saw we had a basketball court. I'm guessing basketball is a thing? How many of you have ever played it...with a bow and arrow set?
[Is there music? Yes there is AND IT'S awesome. Aiming the weapon Clint points and shoots. The ball drops, into the hoop.]
...Ah. [He holds up a hand] I can hear some of you now, "But Agent Barton, how is that special. Honestly, that looks difficult but not impossible." And I'd agree. Because basket ball needs trick shots just like arrows do. So. [He twists the bow to the side, glances over his shoulder and shoots. The ball spirals off and bounces into the basket...after hanging off the rim for a moment.]
...nope. still not tricky enough. We want a shot that Kobe could make. so. [He attaches another arrow drops into a roll comes up, aims, fires-and it's in the basket again.]
And now, what I used to call the "Gambit" trick. [Up there for the camera is an ordinary playing card. He twists it casually, and then tosses it into the air, draws, and pins a hole through the card. casually.]
The thing about the Gambit trick is, it's boring. And the first rule of performing is-why do something boring. So. [He notches three arrows to his bowstring and launches three cards in the air and fires them-in succession.Thank you so much Marvel and your laws of physics.
I don't do birthday parties, but I do do basic lessons in projectile weaponry. Both it's use and evasion. [Just don't ask him about guns. That's Natasha's thing.] Lessons I'll be offering to interested parties depending on their...ship status I suppose. Wardens first, but if you have an inmate with a use for this stuff bring 'um along.
[What is this? It's making amends as far as he can see. Or at least trying to. And also showing off. It's that too.]
